Guardianships and Conservatorships of Minors and Incapacitated Adults

Family on BeachFor those just starting life (minors) and those who are nearing their end, there are often times special circumstances that require legal help taking care of a person and the person’s property.

Guardianship is a legal procedure establishing the care of a person’s wellbeing by another. It is a complex process, but when handled properly, it can be a necessary and devoted way to care for those in need.

Conservatorships are much like guardianships, but only involve the handling of another’s money and property. Often children and incapacitated adults need someone to insure that their money and assets will be used for their benefit and in their best interest.
